Part of our international outreach has been to the Hispanic community through our Spanish language supplement Ella es una Niña, no una "opción." Many of the articles from our abortion publication have been translated into multiple languages.
In 2004, HLA partnered with Vida Humana International to produce a special edition Spanish language publication. This publication was printed and distributed specifically to combat pro-abortion forces that were trying to pass a bill in Uruguay to legalize abortion through the first three months of pregnancy. Despite millions of dollars of pro-abortion money going into Latin American countries, HLA defeated the abortion bill with only $2,200 to print and distribute 50,000 copies in Uruguay, and the bill was defeated 17 to 13. Later, another $4,000 to distribute 50,000 copies reversed legislation legalizing abortion in Bolivia.
Currently we are looking to update and reprint our Spanish publication to cover all of Central and South America. The cost of this project would be about $125,000. We need people to join with us in support of our international outreach. Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion organizations are pouring billions of dollars into these countries, and we need to counteract their influence with the truth about the humanity of the unborn.
