Individual contributions and foundation grants enable HLA to fulfill its mission by updating and distributing life-saving pro-life publications. Increased funding allows for continued circulation of Did You Know? in the African American Community and Ella es una niña, no una “opción” for the Latin American Life Initiative. This initiative aims to support life in Central and South America, where large U.S. donations support legalizing “reproductive rights” or abortion.
HLA depends heavily upon individual contributions to support our mission. 66.3% of annual appeal supporters are onetime givers with the majority of remaining donors giving two or three times per year—the average onetime donation is $120.67 with a typical gift amount of $25. While our funding base is widespread, helping HLA weather economic downturns or non-profit funding slumps, new fund development is critical to continue our outreach to millions of individuals per year.
Each and every contribution, no matter the size, lets HLA know that individuals view our work as important—important enough to support, with prayers, efforts, and personal finances.
With just over ten percent of HLA’s budget dedicated toward administrative services and fundraising efforts, supporters can be assured that the vast majority of their donations go directly toward a mission of changing hearts and saving lives.
