EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Human Life Alliance (HLA) is a non-profit, pro-life organization dedicated to protecting human life from the moment of fertilization until natural death. Our goal is to change hearts and save lives.

Founded on April 2, 1977 by dedicated pro-life volunteers, HLA is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota employing five full-time staff members relying on faithful volunteers to keep administrative costs to a minimum.

HLA's priority project is to publish and distribute educational material, focusing on abortion, abstinence, and euthanasia. Reaching a combined circulation of 31 million copies over the past 17 years, these powerful publications are the cause of vigorous debate on high school and college campuses across the nation receiving widespread acclaim.

icare... is the latest 12-page publication to be distributed through the campus project. It is an updated version of HLA's original abortion supplement She's A Child, Not A "Choice." Feedback proves these materials are instrumental in changing the hearts and minds of young people-some of whom credit it with saving the lives of their babies. The Silent Epidemic, Trapped, and We Know Better Now are previous versions of HLA's pro-life campus supplement.

Vibrant colors and engaging graphics enable Just for Girls/Just for Guys to address the most popular issues teens face in their fight to remain chaste and pure. This ingenious flip magazine covers a wide range of abstinence issues-striking at the root cause of the abortion problem-helping teens recognize the errors of the "safe-sex" message.

Imposed Death exposes misunderstandings associated with Living Wills and end-of-life decisions. By documenting society's progress to disenfranchise the elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable, this groundbreaking publication shows how the "right-to-die" movement is drawing us all down the slippery slope of assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Abortion is the leading cause of death in the black community. Did You Know? shatters the silence of this tragedy through powerful images and articles. Authors include Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; Dr. Johnny Hunter, President of L.E.A.R.N., Inc.; Rev. Arnold Culbreth, Urban Outreach Director of Life Issues Institute and many others.

Ella es una niña, no una "opción" is HLA's Spanish language publication developed from She's a Child Not a "Choice." Translated in partnership with Vida Humana Internacional, Ella es una niña, no una "opción," is an excellent resource for Hispanic outreach. It has been distributed in the United States and many Latin American countries.

Life Begins: An Amazing Adventure is a comic book designed to teach grade school children about the humanity of the pre-born child. Lead by two adventurous narrators, Carl and Tickles, it's a delightful walk through the first nine months of life. Children will love the antics of the comical narrators while learning how babies grow inside a mother's womb.
