Make your voice heard in the campus newspaper: Write and submit thought provoking and challenging pro-life articles. Get a network of people to submit letters to the editor anytime pro-abortion rhetoric appears in the paper in the form of ads or articles. Challenge them to be unbiased in what they allow to run.
Be a voice for life at school events: Put up an information table, pass out Trapped..., hang pro-life signs, distribute flyers, etc. Be creative - juggle, do chalk art, pass out candy, etc.
Make your voice heard in class: Seize the opportunity to educate classmates on the realities of abortion, abortifacient contraceptives, Post Abortion Syndrome, the value of chastity, Euthanasia, etc. Do a class presentation on the media bias against the cause for life and how they don't report both sides fairly or present the facts of life. Never miss the opportunity to defend life when Profs or peers are promoting the anti-life mentality.
Distribute pro-life information: Distribute well designed, accurate, and documented pro-life educational materials in school mailboxes, on an information table, on bulletin boards, and by hand in strategic areas. One-on-one is most effective-be ready to answer questions!
Promote pregnancy care centers: A common misconception is that pro-lifers are anti-woman. Counter this by publicizing the centers in your area that offer women REAL assistance. Post the Pregnancy Care Center hotline in prominent places on campus. Host a baby shower or open house for your local Pregnancy Care Center. Do a donation drive for materials or monetary funds and volunteer for the center.
Participate in student life: Participate in Student Government and help shape policy; volunteer to serve on the university's lecture committee.
Hold a memorial service for the victims of abortion: This is especially appropriate around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, January 22nd.
Set up a memorial display of crosses: Ask your school or a nearby church if you could set up a display of crosses to remember all the lives lost through abortion (each cross representing 250,000 - 500,000) and promote the display to the community pro-life organizations and churches (they might help you raise funds to make or purchase a display).
Provide the opportunity for students to attend the March for Life: If you cannot go to Washington, try to get to your state capitol. To start planning for D.C., contact the March for Life committee in D.C. Either way, assemble a group bannerÑthis strengthens solidarity.
Host a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly discussion group on life issues: Reserve a room and take turns presenting a topic and opening the floor to dialogue - it's amazing how much you learn from one another. There's no better place to do this than on a college campus.
Host pro-life speakers: Do some creative promo to get people there. Consider rounding up some pro-life Profs to do a lecture series or panel discussion; draw from many disciplines (medical, social, philosophical, etc). Talk to your school administration, sometimes financial assistance is available for guest speakers.
Sponsor an open forum: Welcome people from every perspective-this is a great opportunity to strengthen your own skills, possibly persuade people, and help to correct the misconceptions of the pro-life movement.
Peacefully protest outside an abortion clinic in your area: Gather students to go once a week, once a month, or at least once a semester to be a silent witness and protest of the violence of abortion.
Co-Sponsor events with other student groups: This is important to show solidarity with other causes and to get your name out there. Team work is a powerful thing.
Facilitate outreach to high schools and church youth groups in your area: Give a talk about a pro-life issue or abstinence and then distribute Trapped... or Just for Girls/Just for Guys to the students.
